Philippine National Water Polo Team Get to know members of the Philippine National Water Polo Team, and see more of their achievements and activities. The team currently has twelve athletes and four coaches. One of the five disciplines under PSI, the sport is gaining popularity and recognition, particularly when the Men’s Team bagged the Silver medal at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games held in Manila. 2022 Long Course GP Champs at NCC The 2022 PSI Long Course Grand Prix Championship is the culmination of all the PSI qualifying leg series held in NCR, CNL, and Mindanao. Swimmers representing swim clubs from all over the country are gathered at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capas, Tarlac, to compete in the four-day event, from October 13-16, 2022. Today’s opening promises to be exciting and full of surprises, as swimmers try to outswim one another in their respective events. Congratulations to all qualifiers for getting this far!
2022 PSI GRAND PRIX, QUALIFYING EVENT FOR FINA AUSTRALIA AND JAPAN We are more than excited to announce that FINA has approved the 2022 PSI Long Course Grand Prix National Championships slated for October 13-16, 2022 at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capas, Tarlac as a qualifying event for the 16th FINA World Swimming Championships (25m) at Melbourne, Australia in 2022, and the 20th FINA World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan in 2023. What does this mean for our swimmers? It means that if your times meet the Standard Entry Times set by FINA, you will have a chance to represent the Philippines and compete at Melbourne and/or Fukuoka. This is a big deal for our community. Why? Simply because you no longer need to go overseas to compete in FINA qualifying events should you wish to to qualify for the Melbourne and/or Fukuoka Championships. PSI continues to provide its swimmers with opportunities to prove their worth and go up against the world's best swimmers. PSI is currently oversees swimming, water polo, artistic swimming, diving, and open water swimming. It is accredited by international Swimming Federation (Fédération Internationale De Natation or FINA) and the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).
